Pastor Nancy Amburn has served as pastor of Redeemer in Fort Myers since September, 2010. She is a native Texan and prone to say, “Y’all.” After graduating from Texas Lutheran University, majoring in Communication Arts and working in television news, she could no longer resist God’s call to full-time ministry. She attended Luther Seminary in St. Paul, Minnesota, graduating in 1994. She served congregations in Illinois and Texas, as well as working with Lutheran Social Services of the South for Lutheran Disaster Response and Camp Noah. She then served in the Northern Texas-Northern Louisiana Mission Area as Bishop Assistant for Congregational Life and Mission before moving to Florida.
As a woman who is passionate about how God is on the move in people’s lives and in the community, she would enjoy getting to know you and your faith story. Be warned, though, she loves to laugh (and is sometimes loud in her joy!)
Pastor Nancy’s three children - Tristan, Ambyr, and Liam - keep life adventurous. You might find her cheering for a sports team, helping with a music department event, or putting together a college care package.
